Terms of Service

The website, digital publications, editorial materials, and any associated platforms, pages, features, communications, events, or services operated under the name Strategist’s Cut (collectively referred to as the “Platform”, “Service”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) provide editorial commentary, analytical content, research insights, and related digital material concerning law, business, intellectual property, markets, culture, and broader industry developments.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Platform and apply to all visitors, readers, contributors, and users who interact with Strategist’s Cut in any form, including through its website, digital content, publications, communications, or related services that may be made available from time to time.

By accessing, browsing, reading, or otherwise interacting with the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age and are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law. Your continued access to or use of Strategist’s Cut constitutes your acknowledgement that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service, together with any additional policies, notices, or guidelines that may be published on the Platform from time to time.

If you do not agree with these Terms or any portion thereof, you must immediately discontinue use of the Platform.

These Terms should be read together with the Platform’s Privacy Policy and any other applicable policies that govern the use of Strategist’s Cut and its services.

The Platform is intended to be accessed and used by individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. By accessing, browsing, or otherwise using Strategist’s Cut, you represent and warrant that you are at least eighteen years old and are legally competent to enter into binding agreements under the laws applicable to you.

Persons who are considered incompetent to contract under applicable legal frameworks, including, without limitation, individuals otherwise disqualified from entering into legally binding agreements, are not permitted to access or use the Platform independently.

If an individual under the age of eighteen accesses or interacts with the Platform, such access must occur only under the supervision and responsibility of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on behalf of the minor.

Strategist’s Cut reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Platform where it reasonably believes that a user does not meet the eligibility requirements described above or has misrepresented their eligibility to use the Service.

Strategist’s Cut grants users a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable right to access and use the Platform strictly for personal, informational, editorial, and non-commercial purposes, and always subject to these Terms of Service and any other policies or notices published on the Platform.

This limited permission is granted solely to enable lawful access to the Platform in the ordinary course of reading, viewing, and engaging with its editorial content. No right, title, or interest in or to the Platform, its content, its underlying systems, or any related intellectual property is transferred to you by virtue of such access. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Strategist’s Cut.

Subject to compliance with these Terms, users may:

• access and view editorial content made available on the Platform;
• read, browse, and navigate published articles, analysis, research, commentary, features, and related material;
• print, download, or save limited extracts of content strictly for personal reference, private study, research, or other non-commercial use, provided that such use does not remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, attribution, branding, or proprietary notices;
• share links to publicly accessible pages of the Platform in a lawful and non-misleading manner that does not suggest sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation, or approval by Strategist’s Cut where none exists.

The permission described above is narrow in scope and does not authorise any broader exploitation, republication, reproduction, redistribution, or technical use of the Platform or its contents.

Accordingly, except with the prior written permission of Strategist’s Cut or where expressly permitted by applicable law, users shall not, whether directly or indirectly:

• reproduce, copy, archive, republish, upload, post, transmit, broadcast, distribute, display, modify, adapt, translate, summarise, excerpt in bulk, or otherwise make available any part of the Platform or its content in any form or by any means;
• commercially exploit any content, materials, analysis, datasets, editorial frameworks, branding, or other proprietary elements appearing on or accessible through the Platform;
• use any content from the Platform for advertising, promotion, lead generation, commercial intelligence, market-facing materials, or any other revenue-generating or business-supporting purpose without authorisation;
• scrape, crawl, mine, harvest, capture, index, extract, collect, aggregate, or store content, data, metadata, analytics, text, images, layouts, research, references, or other material from the Platform through automated means or through manual methods conducted at scale;
• use bots, spiders, crawlers, browser automation tools, data extraction tools, artificial intelligence agents, machine learning systems, scripts, or similar technologies to access, monitor, copy, analyse, or retrieve data or content from the Platform;
• use the Platform or its contents to train, fine-tune, validate, benchmark, enrich, or otherwise support any artificial intelligence model, large language model, machine learning system, recommendation engine, automated research tool, search index, database, or dataset compilation;
• create derivative databases, repositories, knowledge systems, archives, summaries, embeddings, synthetic outputs, or analytical products based in whole or in part on Strategist’s Cut content;
• frame, mirror, deep-link to, or reproduce the visual appearance, editorial structure, branding, or presentation of the Platform in a manner that appropriates or replicates its identity or user experience;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, probe, test, scan, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, architecture, structure, security configuration, or underlying technical systems of the Platform;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any restricted area, account, server, database, infrastructure, API, administrative interface, or associated system connected with the Platform;
• interfere with, disrupt, overburden, damage, disable, or compromise the functioning, availability, performance, or security of the Platform or any networks or systems connected to it;
• introduce malware, spyware, ransomware, viruses, trojan horses, worms, logic bombs, malicious code, or any other harmful or disruptive material into or through the Platform;
• bypass, defeat, or attempt to circumvent any access controls, security measures, content protection technologies, usage restrictions, or technical safeguards implemented by Strategist’s Cut;
• use the Platform in any manner that is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, abusive, defamatory, infringing, invasive of privacy, or otherwise contrary to applicable law or to the rights and interests of Strategist’s Cut or any third party;
• use the Platform in any way that falsely suggests association with, endorsement by, authorship by, or sponsorship from Strategist’s Cut.

Users are also prohibited from using the Platform in a manner that places an unreasonable or disproportionate burden on its infrastructure, interferes with the ordinary experience of other users, or undermines the editorial, commercial, technical, or reputational interests of Strategist’s Cut.

Any use of the Platform or its content beyond the limited permission expressly granted under these Terms shall be deemed unauthorised. Strategist’s Cut reserves the right to investigate suspected misuse of the Platform and to take any action it considers appropriate, including suspension or termination of access, issuance of legal notices, pursuit of injunctive relief, and commencement of civil or other legal proceedings.

Unauthorised use of Platform content, systems, or intellectual property may constitute a breach of these Terms as well as a violation of copyright law, trademark law, contract law, information technology law, and other applicable legal protections. Strategist’s Cut expressly reserves all rights and remedies available to it in law and equity.

All content, materials, and intellectual assets available on or through Strategist’s Cut, including but not limited to editorial articles, analytical commentary, research, written text, images, graphics, visual design elements, branding, logos, layouts, data compilations, and other digital materials (collectively referred to as the “Content”) are owned by Strategist’s Cut or are used by Strategist’s Cut under licence from third-party rights holders.

Such Content is protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including copyright, trademark, design rights, database rights, and other proprietary protections under the laws of India and international conventions where applicable. The compilation, arrangement, and presentation of content on the Platform may also constitute protected intellectual property belonging to Strategist’s Cut.

All rights in the Content are expressly reserved. Except for the limited right granted under these Terms to access and view the Platform for personal, informational, and non-commercial purposes, no rights, title, or interest in any Content are transferred or licensed to users.

Accordingly, users shall not, without the prior written consent of Strategist’s Cut or the relevant rights holder:

• reproduce, copy, republish, transmit, display, broadcast, or otherwise distribute any Content from the Platform;
• modify, adapt, translate, transform, or create derivative works based on the Content;
• extract, reproduce, or reuse substantial portions of Content for the creation of publications, databases, repositories, or other derivative platforms;
• use any Content for commercial purposes, including marketing, promotional activities, research databases, data products, or other revenue-generating uses;
• remove, alter, obscure, or otherwise tamper with copyright notices, attribution marks, trademarks, or any proprietary notices appearing on the Platform or within the Content.

Users also acknowledge that the name Strategist’s Cut, along with its branding, logos, editorial identity, and visual presentation, may constitute proprietary marks or protected brand identifiers belonging to Strategist’s Cut. Such identifiers may not be used, reproduced, or referenced in a manner that suggests endorsement, affiliation, sponsorship, or association without prior written permission.

Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, modification, or commercial exploitation of Strategist’s Cut Content may constitute infringement of intellectual property rights and may expose the responsible party to civil liability, injunctive relief, statutory damages, or other remedies available under applicable law. In appropriate circumstances, such conduct may also give rise to criminal liability under relevant legal provisions.

Strategist’s Cut reserves all rights to enforce its intellectual property rights to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Content published on Strategist’s Cut consists primarily of editorial commentary, analytical writing, research observations, opinion-based analysis, and interpretive discussion relating to law, business, intellectual property, markets, culture, policy, and industry developments. Such material reflects the editorial perspective, analytical interpretation, or professional opinion of the authors and contributors involved in its preparation.

All content made available on the Platform is provided solely for informational, educational, and editorial purposes. Nothing published on Strategist’s Cut should be interpreted as constituting legal advice, financial advice, investment advice, regulatory guidance, tax advice, or any other form of professional consulting or advisory service.

Although Strategist’s Cut endeavours to present information and analysis in good faith and with reasonable care, the Platform does not warrant or represent that any content is exhaustive, fully accurate, current, or free from error. Editorial analysis may rely on publicly available sources, reported information, or interpretive judgments that are subject to change, revision, or differing perspectives over time.

Accordingly, users should not rely on any content published on Strategist’s Cut as a substitute for professional advice tailored to their specific circumstances. Strategist’s Cut shall not be responsible for any decisions made, actions taken, or outcomes arising from reliance on editorial content published on the Platform. Users assume full responsibility for how they interpret or apply the information provided.

From time to time, Strategist’s Cut may allow users, readers, contributors, or collaborators to submit comments, feedback, editorial contributions, research inputs, suggestions, or other materials through the Platform or through associated communication channels (collectively referred to as “User Content”).

User Content may include, without limitation, written comments, editorial proposals, correspondence, documents, images, links, or other material submitted to Strategist’s Cut through website interfaces, email communication, surveys, event participation, or other forms of engagement with the Platform.

By submitting or transmitting User Content to Strategist’s Cut, you represent and warrant that:

• you are the original author of the material or otherwise possess all necessary rights, permissions, and authority to submit such content;
• the submission of the content does not violate any applicable law, regulation, contractual obligation, or third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or confidentiality obligations;
• the content is not false, misleading, defamatory, abusive, unlawful, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful; and
• the content does not contain malicious code, harmful software, or other materials that could disrupt or compromise the functioning of the Platform.

You acknowledge that communications made through the Platform may not necessarily be treated as confidential and may be reviewed by editorial or administrative personnel associated with Strategist’s Cut.

Strategist’s Cut reserves the right, but does not undertake any obligation, to review, moderate, edit, refuse, remove, or decline to publish any User Content submitted to the Platform, at its sole discretion and without prior notice. Strategist’s Cut shall not be responsible for monitoring all User Content and does not guarantee that all submissions will be reviewed or published.

By submitting User Content to Strategist’s Cut, you grant the Platform a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, transferable licence to store, archive, reproduce, publish, adapt, edit, distribute, display, and otherwise use such content in connection with the editorial, research, promotional, or operational activities of Strategist’s Cut across any media format now known or developed in the future.

This licence includes the right for Strategist’s Cut to reproduce or reference such submissions in articles, research discussions, editorial commentary, promotional materials, or other Platform-related communications where appropriate. Such use may occur without additional notice or compensation unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.

You remain solely responsible for the User Content that you submit and for any consequences arising from its submission or publication. Strategist’s Cut assumes no liability for User Content provided by users or third parties.

From time to time, Strategist’s Cut may organise, host, sponsor, or participate in initiatives designed to support its editorial mission, audience engagement, and platform development. Such initiatives may include, without limitation:

• editorial discussions, panel conversations, or intellectual forums;
• digital events such as webinars, virtual talks, or moderated discussions;
• in-person gatherings, workshops, conferences, or curated events;
• collaborations with academic institutions, research bodies, media organisations, brands, or other partners;
• promotional initiatives, campaigns, contests, or competitions associated with the Platform; and
• audience engagement activities including surveys, community discussions, or reader participation initiatives.

Participation in any such event, collaboration, or promotional initiative may be subject to separate rules, eligibility requirements, participation guidelines, or additional terms and conditions, which will be communicated to participants where applicable. By participating in such initiatives, users agree to comply with any additional terms that may govern those specific activities.

Where events are conducted, whether digitally or in physical venues, participants acknowledge that certain operational or administrative information may be collected for purposes such as registration, communication, event management, and participation verification. Participants may also be photographed, recorded, or otherwise documented in connection with event coverage or promotional activities associated with Strategist’s Cut, subject to reasonable notice where applicable.

Strategist’s Cut reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, postpone, suspend, or cancel any event, collaboration, promotion, or initiative, or to revise its associated terms, eligibility criteria, or participation conditions where circumstances reasonably require such changes. Strategist’s Cut shall not be liable for any losses or inconvenience arising from such modifications or cancellations beyond reasonable notice where practicable.

Participation in Platform initiatives does not create any form of employment relationship, partnership, or contractual entitlement beyond the specific terms governing the particular activity.

The Platform may, from time to time, contain references to or links directing users to external websites, digital platforms, social media services, applications, or other third-party resources. Such links may be provided for purposes including editorial citation, contextual reference, informational convenience, promotional partnerships, or access to related materials.

Strategist’s Cut does not own, operate, supervise, or control these third-party platforms and therefore cannot be responsible for their content, functionality, policies, security practices, or methods of data collection and processing. The inclusion of a link to any external platform should not be interpreted as an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee by Strategist’s Cut regarding the reliability, legality, or suitability of the content or services provided by that third party.

Users should be aware that once they leave the Strategist’s Cut environment and access a third-party platform, the terms of use, privacy policies, and operational practices of that external platform will apply. Such platforms may independently collect personal information, technical identifiers, behavioural data, or other forms of user information according to their own policies.

Accordingly, any interaction with third-party services, including clicking external links, engaging with embedded content, accessing partner platforms, or submitting information to external services is undertaken at the user’s own discretion and risk. Strategist’s Cut encourages users to carefully review the terms of service, privacy policies, and data protection notices of any third-party platforms they choose to access through the Platform.

Strategist’s Cut shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from a user’s interaction with third-party websites, services, or digital platforms that may be linked to or referenced within the Platform.

Users of Strategist’s Cut are expected to interact with the Platform in a lawful, responsible, and respectful manner. The integrity, security, and proper functioning of the Platform are essential to maintaining a reliable editorial environment. Accordingly, users agree not to engage in any activity that may compromise, disrupt, misuse, or otherwise interfere with the operation of the Platform or the experience of other users.

Without limitation, users agree that they shall not:

• introduce, upload, transmit, or otherwise distribute any viruses, malware, spyware, ransomware, malicious scripts, or other harmful code that may damage, disrupt, or interfere with the Platform or any connected systems;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to restricted areas of the Platform, administrative systems, databases, servers, accounts, or any technical infrastructure associated with Strategist’s Cut;
• probe, scan, test, or exploit vulnerabilities in the Platform’s systems, security mechanisms, or network infrastructure;
• interfere with, disrupt, overload, or otherwise compromise the normal technical functioning or performance of the website or related digital services;
• impersonate any person, organisation, or entity, or falsely represent affiliation with Strategist’s Cut or any other party;
• engage in fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, unlawful, or misleading conduct in connection with the use of the Platform;
• use the Platform for the distribution of unsolicited communications, spam, chain letters, promotional solicitations, or other forms of unauthorised mass messaging;
• attempt to bypass or circumvent any technical safeguards, access controls, or usage limitations implemented by Strategist’s Cut.

Any conduct that compromises the security, stability, or lawful operation of the Platform may be treated as a violation of these Terms of Service.

Strategist’s Cut reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and, at its sole discretion, to take appropriate action, which may include suspension or termination of access to the Platform, removal of offending material, reporting of unlawful activity to relevant authorities, and the pursuit of legal remedies where warranted.

To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, the Platform and all content, materials, and services made available through Strategist’s Cut are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any express or implied warranties, guarantees, or representations of any kind.

Strategist’s Cut does not warrant or represent that:

• access to the Platform will be uninterrupted, continuous, or free from delays;
• the Platform will be free from errors, defects, bugs, or technical issues;
• the Platform or its servers will be free from viruses, malware, or other harmful components;
• the content published on the Platform will always be accurate, complete, reliable, or current;
• the Platform will meet any particular user requirement or expectation; or
• the Platform will remain available in its current form without modification or interruption.

All editorial content, commentary, analysis, and other materials available on Strategist’s Cut are provided for informational and editorial purposes only. While reasonable care may be taken in preparing such material, Strategist’s Cut does not guarantee the completeness, reliability, or suitability of any information published on the Platform.

Users acknowledge that the use of internet-based services involves inherent risks, including technological disruptions, data transmission errors, and security vulnerabilities that may arise from external factors beyond the control of the Platform.

Accordingly, use of the Platform and reliance on any content made available through it is undertaken entirely at the user’s own risk. Strategist’s Cut expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, Strategist’s Cut, including its operators, editors, contributors, licensors, partners, service providers, and associated representatives, shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, the Platform or its content.

This limitation of liability applies, without limitation, to any damages, losses, costs, claims, or liabilities arising from:

• the use of or inability to access the Platform or any part of its services, features, or content;
• reliance on editorial commentary, analysis, research, opinions, or other informational material published on the Platform;
• errors, omissions, inaccuracies, interpretive differences, or delays in the availability or publication of content;

• failures or disruptions in internet connectivity, hosting infrastructure, content delivery networks, or other third-party technical systems used in connection with the Platform;

• actions, policies, or operational practices of third-party platforms, digital services, advertisers, partners, or external websites that may be linked to or referenced on the Platform;
• loss of data, business interruption, reputational harm, financial loss, or other consequential damages resulting from the use of, reliance upon, or interaction with the Platform.

Users acknowledge that Strategist’s Cut operates within a broader digital and technological ecosystem that may include internet service providers, hosting infrastructure, software frameworks, analytics tools, and third-party digital platforms. Despite the exercise of reasonable care and prudence in maintaining the Platform, certain technological, operational, or security risks remain inherent to internet-based services.

Accordingly, users accept that their use of the Platform is undertaken voluntarily and at their own discretion, and that Strategist’s Cut cannot reasonably be expected to eliminate all risks associated with digital access, third-party infrastructure dependencies, or the transmission of information over the internet.

Where applicable law does not permit the exclusion or limitation of certain forms of liability, the liability of Strategist’s Cut shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted under such applicable law, and nothing in these Terms shall exclude liability where such exclusion would be unlawful.

Strategist’s Cut reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice where reasonably necessary, to suspend, restrict, or terminate a user’s access to the Platform or any portion of its services if it reasonably believes that such user has violated these Terms of Service, engaged in conduct inconsistent with the intended use of the Platform, or undertaken any activity that may harm the integrity, security, functionality, or reputation of Strategist’s Cut or its users.

Such actions may include, without limitation, the removal of content, restriction of access to specific features, temporary suspension of access, or permanent termination of a user’s ability to interact with the Platform.

Strategist’s Cut may also take such action where it reasonably considers it necessary to comply with legal obligations, respond to suspected unlawful activity, protect intellectual property rights, maintain platform security, or safeguard the interests of its users, contributors, and associated partners.

Where access to the Platform is terminated or restricted, Strategist’s Cut shall not be liable for any resulting loss of access to content, materials, or services. Strategist’s Cut reserves the right to pursue any additional remedies available under applicable law where violations of these Terms result in legal or operational harm.

Strategist’s Cut reserves the right to revise, update, or modify these Terms of Service from time to time in order to reflect changes in applicable legal requirements, technological developments, operational practices, or the evolving features and services of the Platform.

Where revisions are made, the updated version of the Terms of Service will be published on the Platform and will indicate the date on which the most recent revision becomes effective. Such updates shall take effect upon publication unless otherwise specified.

Users are encouraged to review these Terms periodically in order to remain informed of any changes. Continued access to or use of the Platform after the publication of updated Terms shall constitute acknowledgment and acceptance of the revised Terms of Service.

If a user does not agree with any modification to these Terms, the appropriate course of action is to discontinue use of the Platform. Strategist’s Cut shall not be responsible for notifying users individually of updates beyond making the revised Terms available on the Platform.

These Terms of Service, and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the access to or use of the Platform, shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to principles of conflict of laws.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree that such disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delhi, India, and you expressly consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts for the resolution of any matters connected with these Terms.

Where reasonably practicable, the parties are encouraged to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith discussion before initiating formal legal proceedings. Nothing in this clause shall prevent Strategist’s Cut from seeking appropriate injunctive or equitable relief before a court of competent jurisdiction where necessary to protect its intellectual property, confidential information, or operational interests.
